So, I called my mom last night. I do this about once a week to check on Dad. He's 82 and a WWII vet and well, he's an old fart and I need to check on him..and her. So, she tells me that a propane tank at the local florists house blew up and flattened the 4000 square foot home. This is like less than a mile from my family home. Dad had visions of Kamakaze attacks. HEre's a news story link. It's nutso. I used to ride dirt bikes through the driveways of these kinds of houses. It was the "rich" people addition next to our middle class addition...just over the low water bridge from the really poor people.

So I talk to the owner of this house once a year. He puts together flowers for mom from me. This year, he found her at church, walked in, and sang happy bday to her as he gave her the flowers and cake I sent. Now his house is leveled and worse yet, his dog is dead.
BTW, my old blog isn't over bc the weinerdog died. He's still kickin.

Glad to see you blogging again...or shall I say, glad to read you blogging again...wa wa wa.
It is amazing how quickly bad things can happen. And although I am sad to hear about the dog, I am glad to hear that the flower man and Norman are ok.
Thanks. Seriously, this dude, I've known him for all my life. I can't believe they felt the blast for 35+ miles.
All the men in my life are fine.
I'm gearing myself up for tofurkeyday.
Explain to me tofurkey? Is it a jiggly mass of tofu in the shape of a turkey? Where are you going for Thanksgiving? Does everyone eat the tofurkey? Can you make tofurkey soup and sandwiches with all the leftovers?
Here's a link. I just like saying it. I've never had it.

I like saying tofurkey jerkey better!
The other day I got Morning Star corn dogs. They were delicious. I think I am a vegetarian at heart.
But only at heart.
