It's MLK day

And, I don't have to go to work, so I'm loving it. I prepare better at home than I do in my office. I think bc the office seems temporary? Who knows.

Anyway, I remember when I learned about MLK in high school. A black girl at my hs, Samantha Harper, read the "I Have a Dream" speech. Ah, the rhetorical effect. I was touched.

Merit pay forms are due soon. Nothing I did last Spring "counts" bc I wasn't officially employed, so I have to rely on what I did last semester, which sucks. Anyway, I'm putting everything I can think of on the form. It it sucks that my chance of a raise is dependant soley on 4 months. Especially since the pay isn't comparative to other schools or my experience.

I like my job, though. Seriously. Some things could be better, but I do like it. Alot.
