The good news

is that my husband has a Mac and it has imovie on it. The bad news is that I have NO EXCUSE not to start making my video for the Watson conference. I have it all storyboarded and scripted to a point. And, I know this multimodal composition takes longer than a normal conference paper. But, I have no gumption.

is that I have a student who is going to talk me through some imovie quirks and let me use part of her movie from a project she did for my Intro to Linguistics course.

is that my service learning Tech and Prof Writing course is finally coming together. We're helping out with the Chickasaw Head Start Newsletter and we're on deck to help with a Preserve's brochure and eduational materials.

is that BbCE (Bb's hybrid with WebCT) hasn't died yet on our campus. BUT, there's Java problems. I wonder why when the new Java is installed, it doesn't get rid of the old version? It confuses BbCE. Java people: fix this!

is that we bought some furniture for the house today, and if the Ike rains subside, it could get delivered today. A couch and two recliner chairs. I'll post photos once they're here.

is that it's only Saturday, the OSU Cowboys won, and I got a free Mocha at the local Starbucks bc the line for the Drive-Thru was so long.

is that this small town I've moved to is a place where I can get dog medicine at the people pharmacy, and it costs 1/2 the price.

is that I can leave the lid on my water bottles when I recycle them here. Not so in the other town. Yes. I'm that lazy.

I'd like to comment on the last two points specifically: that is AWESOME that you can get dog meds at the human meds pharm. I am jealous. Also, I am equally lazy and love that I can leave the lids on my water bottles where I live as well. Hooray!

Good luck with the new furniture; what color is it? (Ok, ok, I'm commenting on more than two points...)

Finally, could you share some of your finished products from your TW class at the end of the semester? I'd like to teach brochures sometime soon and I want to see some of yours. What software do you use when teaching these?

We're limited to Publisher for now...$ and compatibility.

Furniture: brown couch with gold/brown/red/green decorated pillows. One chocolate colored chair and one camel colored chair.

Yeah, yeah, yeah - post a picture of the furniture. I didn't know there was any other option of getting dog medicine. I just thought you went to Walgreens for it.
