Not a nazi

I was talking to a student yesterday as we worked on the Habitat house and she was asking about classes I might be teaching in the fall. I warned her that I was called a "nazi" by one of my current students...one of my colleagues over-heard it in a conversation.

I am half German. My mom's a "full blood". I don't speak a lick of German except for "dhanka"(sp) but who doesn't know that?

Anyway, maybe I am tough on my students concerning their classroom performance and with their work. I'm not mean when I grade, though...and I don't call students out in class.

The student isn't afraid of me or hard work, though, so maybe I'll have her soon. I'll make her work hard, but I won't be a genocidal dictator.
