"so good to me,
[Tuesday, Tuesday] it was all I hoped it would be"
thanks Mamas and Papas
Things are coming to an end in my first semester as a tenure-track faculty member. It's been more hectic than I expected. It seems I have some sort of training every week, someone wants me to do this or that, a Habitat house needs to be finished, greens need to be hung, honors students need to be sponsored, and OH YEAH, I have to conference with 70+ students then grade their reflection essays next week during finals.
Can I get a YAWP?
thanks Dead Poets Society
I drive an hour+ every morning to get to school. I teach at 8am MWF, so I leave my house by 630. The drive, I must say, is gorgeous. Wide Open Spaces through really rural Oklahoma. The occasional deer, cow, hay truck, or mobile home transport slows me down on some days, but I'm grateful for the sky, the fog lifting off the ponds, and the sunrise...priceless.
thanks Mastercard

YAWP!
Good luck, tenure-tracker! ;o)
I like how you throw in that you need to build a house for Habitat for Humanity, like it's something everyone has to do.
You are a very good person.
and I got great friends...
