Ok so, yesterday, I finished a website for a community org I'm a part of. I reviewed an article that a friend and I will be working on that discusses gender and sex in the education field. I also edited a 40 page research project that my linguistics students put together. WOOT.
Today, I plan on revising a chapter of my diss to send off for review. And, I'll be reviewing the new Kairos site design, too. It's a beaut!
And PT. Two more visits...
We bought a wii, and I find myself playing a video game for the first time since the 90's. It seems to be good for my knee...not "real" tennis, bowling or boxing but alot of good movement for balance. Our next purchase will be the wii fit. Apparently, they're really popular and hard to find. It looks like I'll be able to do balance stuff and yoga on it. Nice.
Anyway. I'm gearing up for my professor life. I'm still tired, but I've made up my mind to get out of the ADD/no attention span funk.
Oh, and if you ever have to have surgery and/or get laid up for several weeks, read Jim Butcher's the Dresden Files. I usually dont' like fantasy, but his stuff is clever. My brother (the super smart, geeky engineer) got me interested and they're a fun read. And, don't forget Victor Gischler, too. His hardcore noir stuff is tight and smart.
I really, really love to read. And, I like to spend $ on books. Author's need love, too. I pass most of my books on to family, and they pass on to friends or their local library, so I feel civically obligated to buy and read books. heh.

I liked buying books, until I had to move 8 boxes of them.
I wanted to buy the Wii for Guitar Hero, but didn't and probably won't now. For a while at least.
