I've been thinking

Going to conferences costs TOO much. I need to focus on publishing. And, I know that conferences can lead to publishing...but when you couple the time with the cost, the bennies of publishing are much larger. I want real pubs, though, not virtually unknown journals. I've got some ideas on deck with several people. I just need to jump in and make them happen.

I miss going to class to learn (and I'm not saying that I don't learn from my students). My friend Suzy is in fud program, and I've been reading her blog she writes for a class. I MISS that academic interaction. I KNOW. That's what conferences are for...I'm just saying. I liked being assigned reading and responding to it.

Maybe I should put myself on a reading schedule.

I'll tell my life that, so it won't get in the way.

hahaha. I can't think of an instance where I would need to sleep on your couch..but it was Michaela's friend..not mine.

And if I were your life, I wouldnt get in the way...I haven't seen you mad, but I think it would be scary. :)

Conferences are big, big, big. It's hard to get away. I've been in school exactly 4 weeks and I've already been told to try and get into three. And some sort of research symposium next year. But the money you have to spend is crazy. I haven't even gone to one and I am already calculating.

I'm glad you're reading the blog. I hope it doesn't seem to dumb. I should send you a link to the class so you could keep up with the readings (they are linked on the class website). You probably don't have a lot of time, but if you wanted to peruse or something.

wow I am SUCH a stalker.

One question (for now)...What is the Post-Process Movement? This seems like it could require a lengthy explanation..? So, short version please. :)

boredom + curiosity = my stalking points so much higher than yours. I warned you. haha.
